THE FURIES
The Furies is the world’s first laptopera. It is a modern retelling of the story of Electra, conjured on stage through song, theater, dance, and digital instrumentation. The Furies is created, composed, and co-produced by Anne Hege; it is performed by the Stanford Laptop Orchestra (SLOrk), with featured professional soloists from the Bay Area. SLOrk is directed by Ge Wang. Catie choreographed and stage directed The Furies in performance at CCRMA in winter and spring, 2019-2020. The Furies is in continued development and will premiere in full in late 2020.
